Mono Cliffs Provincial Park
Tuesday, March 12, 2013This past weekend Tom and I drove up to his parents place about an hour north of Toronto. It was totally perfect weather, sun was shining and it was about 8°C. On Sunday we ventured out to Mono Cliffs Provincial Park for some pre-Spring hiking. It was totally gorgeous and warm. I definitely over-dressed!

There was still quite a lot of snow in the park (compared to London), but it was well-packed on the main trail. We decided to take the McCarston's Lake Trail which resulted in a few snowy ankles as we sank up to our knees in some spots.
There was a great lookout as we joined back up with the Cliff-Top Side Trail.
It felt so nice to be out in the sun. Hanna (Tom's parents' dog) sure had fun too!
We parked for free on the road near the TDSB property on 2nd Line EHS, but the main park entrance is on 3rd Line EHS.

Spring can't come soon enough!

I love hiking in Ontario's many little parks! It's an excellent way to spend a weekend afternoon.
